| Job Description | Regular Full Time position. Must be available for work Sunday through Saturday for variable shifts. Must be flexible with schedule changes in order to meet operational needs. Independently performs qualitative and quantitative tests in assigned sections(s), following established procedures and predetermined criteria Identifies problems that may adversely affect test performance and/or results and uses knowledge, deductive skills and judgment to troubleshoot and resolve them. May be assigned to assume duties of a charge technologist in the absence of the senior medical technologist or supervisor. Molokai General Hospital is a 15 bed rural health care facility with a Critical Access Hospital desgination. It provides the only emergency room for the residents and visitors on the island of Molokai. They provide acute care, inpatient hospice and low-risk obstetrical services. Other services provided are primary care in a rural health clinic, chemotherapy, limited specialty procedures, diabetes management, preventive health, high-risk weight management, compassionate care/hospice services, family planning and family support on an outpatient basis.

| Qualifications | Medical Laboratory Technician • Associate degree or equivalent from an accredited School of Clinical Laboratory Sciences and completion of an approved clinical laboratory internship • Hawaii State license as a Technician • Certified as an MLT by ASCP, NCA, AMT or HEW • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both in verbal and written form • Ability to work effectively both independently and with a team • Excellent customer service skills Medical Technologist • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related science and successful completion of an approved Medical Technology internship program • Hawaii State license as a Technologist • Certified as an MT by ASCP, NCA, AMT or HEW • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both in verbal and written form • Ability to work effectively both independently and with a team • Excellent customer service skills |
